How to Satisfy the Need for a Vacation

How to Satisfy the Need for a Vacation

Alright, who else is feeling like they need a serious vacation? I find that every few months I begin to crave a little vacation. Unfortunately, I can't afford to go away somewhere fabulous and exotic every few months (maybe one day!). So, what to do in the meantime to satisfy the craving? Well, I have some tips for you!

1. Roadtrip

If you have limited funds or limited time, a little weekend road trip to a city or place nearby can give you vacation vibes without having to travel far away. Living in British Columbia, there are SO many road trip options that can make you feel like you ventured to a completely new place. In these photos I went on a little weekend getaway and explored the city of Kelowna, British Columbia.

2. Spa

The best part of a vacation has to be the relaxation. Being able to get away from work is the main reason why people go away. Going to a local spa for a day can give you a much needed break from work without having to actually take a break. After a nice day at the spa, you will come back to work refreshed and ready to go, much like a vacation would!

3. Unplug

Grab a book, blanket, and picnic, and head to a park or beach! Vacations allow us to unplug and be one with ourselves. Why not take a break from your devices and enjoy some personal time. I really believe that unplugging, even for just a few hours, gets you feeling refreshed. A vacation from your phone counts as a mini vacation in my eyes. ;-)

Do you have any other tips or ideas for satisfying your need for a vacation?
