How My Laptop Survived 8 Years +
This is a sponsored post, however all opinions are honest and my own.
For the past 8 plus years my laptop has been a huge part of my life. It got me through university, travelled with me, lived in Europe with me, and made the move back to Vancouver alongside me. Now, after so many wonderful years together, it decided to fall apart!!! It was a sad moment, but the funny thing is that the computer itself stayed functional, just the laptop body broke apart. (Literally, pieces were broken inside and hitting the fan...whoops).
You might be wondering HOW I was able to keep my laptop in working shape for so many years. Now, I'm no tech genius, so I rely heavily on antivirus software to help keep my laptop secure and virus free. The program that I have been using for the last 8 years is AVG.
AVG is a free antivirus program that is available for MAC and PC (and at the App Store) and it's honestly so user friendly. I've used it for the past 8 years and it always consistently updated and scanned my computer. It allowed me to clean my discs without a problem, and I always knew exactly what was happening.
Of course, the fact that it is free is a bonus! I tried so many anti-virus programs in the past and either you had to pay yearly for them, or the free versions were so limited in what could be done that they were pointless. AVG offers so much for free that it's pretty hard to beat for anyone who is looking for an easy to use program to keep their computer safe. I'm sure that there a ton of programs out there that I am unaware of, but I'm someone who likes to stick to what I know works.
As for my old laptop, I had to say goodbye. But now I'm onto newer and better things. :)
