When I first moved to Vancouver, from Toronto, I kind of stuck out like a sore thumb at my university. I soon realized that I was quite overdressed compared to everyone else.
One day in class, I looked around and noticed that the majority of people around me were wearing some variation of yoga pants and sweaters. I looked down at my jeans, high heeled boots, and accessories and realized that I was not at all dressed for comfort like everyone else.
I did not want to sacrifice my personal style, but knew that I had to do something so that I would be comfortable. After all, this university campus was HUGE and walking from one class to the next in high heels was not ideal.
I traded in my high heels for stylish flats and found clothes that were comfortable, but still looked great. I am sure that my feet were quite thankful!
