Summertime Sadness

Summertime Sadness

When Lana Del Rey sings, “I got that summertime, summertime sadness”, she must be referring to the summer after graduating from high school.

That particular summer was filled with all kinds of emotions.  The sadness that I was no longer a child and was moving into the “real world”, the fear of what was to come, the sadness and fear that I would NEVER see my friends again (even though they still lived down the street).

But in a way, this was actually a really exciting time; the world was now my wonderland. This was the time for me to explore my personal style and how I wanted to be perceived in this so called “real world”.

One should take this opportunity to see what’s out there and what they really connect with.  Now, I’m not saying this is your one and only chance. But it’s a great time to start!
